Hyperlinks are the web

If you ask me what is the greatest thing in the web, I would say the hyperlinks! Actually, it’s the simplest thing, but it makes the difference between a sequence and a tree. A book is a sequence : you only have 1 direction (with 2 senses), links are bringing the other dimensions.

Google’s initial algorithm relied on hyperlinks to give credit to each page it crawled. The more links a page has, the more relevant it must be because people are actually “refering” to this page and people know better than machines what is relevant to them. Google didn’t base their algorithm on content, but on hyperlinks.

At Notifixious, we believe in links as well. When we send a notification, we are actually sending an hyperlink, not content. A link is an invitation to action and a universal way to access the content where it is from anywhere.
